Transit Unplugged Podcast
Challenge
To increase Trapeze’s image as thought leaders and change the perception that we didn’t understand our customers’ challenges.
Solution
I spearheaded the creation of the Transit Unplugged podcast for Trapeze Group. I project managed the launch and creative direction for the podcast. The show featured agency executives to learn the pain points and successes of their public transit agencies. We stayed away from highlighting it was a Trapeze podcast and only loosely had our branding intertwined with the colour scheme. The Transit Unplugged logo is based off the London Underground logo.
Outcome
A steady growth of listeners and subscribers showed us we were on to something. Becoming a Content Marketing Award finalist for best podcast and American Public Transit Association AdWheel Award winner for best marketing and communications educational effort, electronic media further propelled the success of the show.
The podcast started as thought leadership, but was so successful that it started to be used as a sales tactic as well; our host comes in and interviews the CEO/Director of the agency and we teach some classes on public transit and how our software might be able to help.

Transit Unplugged Live
As the name suggests, this is a live recording of the podcast. The episode is a key note at Think Transit, Trapeze’s user conference. I really pushed for this to become an episode we could push onto our podcast feed (and was one of our most popular episodes at the time). I did the audio editing for this episode.
